Reducing EAI Costs with CIM Semantics |
PacifiCorp has implemented more than 30 application interfaces using CIM. PacifiCorp is now developing interfaces between its new Transmission Scheduling environment and WECC. The project used both CIM and the Electric Industry Data Exchange protocol (EIDE, WECC's requirement to exchange non-real-time data with western grid utilities). CIM and EIDE each have their benefits and disadvantages. This presentation explores the role of CIM semantics in EAI projects, compared with EIDE-based methods. |
